This Article was written early 2009: Recently (in January 2009) Harrah’s released the 2009 WSOP schedule for the first time to the public. The 2009 tournament will start on May 27th and will temporarily be ceased on July 14th. The 2009 WSOP main event will be similar to last year, as the final table play will be on hold until November 7th of 2009. All of the events will be held at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Similar to past years, In 2009 PokerStars will be giving their online players plenty of chances to qualify for a seat to events at the 2009 WSOP. PokerStars has been known to qualify more players for the WSOP than any other online poker room. In 2008 PokerStars sent well over 2,000 players to play in the 2008 WSOP. In 2009 predictions are that they will easily beat that mark and qualify even more players for 2009 WSOP events.
PokerStars has not yet released their 2009 WSOP Qualifier/Satellite schedule. Online players are anxiously awaiting the release of the schedule by PokerStars so they can get started at trying to win a seat to this year’s 2009 WSOP main event. The schedule will most likely be released sometime in February or March and will probably include some good promotions held by PokerStars.
